This is a diary of our life on a country estate maintaining the good health of a 1703 Grade II* Historic House and managing three teenage children and a small private zoo (see separate page).   We moved in the exact day the in-laws/parents moved out and into our previous house – a real-life house swop. We enjoy finding the items they left behind.

Our main project is to start a B&B here in the house. There are many more ideas being discussed, but we have begun the renovations necessary to accommodate our guests in the utmost luxury. The interior of this house has not been updated for over 50 years (but is so lovely it is almost a shame to do so). It is with great excitement that we are making a start on our first guest room.
